North Channel Cinematics

North Channel Cinematics is an Ontario-based applied filmmaking studio that develops practical training pathways, workflow systems, and bespoke micro-credentials for Canada’s growing film workforce. Founded in 2002 as North Channel Productions, it has since been re-imagined as North Channel Cinematics to better serve industry and community training needs.

Jeremy’s Story
Jeremy Atherton, a natural-history filmmaker and a long-time film educator is a proud graduate of Algonquin College’ Television Broadcasting program. He was the lead curriculum designer and founding coordinator of the successful Film and Media Production Program at Algonquin in Ottawa, Canada. He brings more than two decades of experience designing production workflows, building film-school programs, and helping thousands of students understand how films are made. His background in both film production and curriculum architecture gives North Channel Cinematics its unique strength: the ability to turn complex film processes into clear, teachable systems. Jeremy’s work ensures the company delivers training that is practical, accessible, and directly connected to real on-set demands.
